Set in the fictional town of Kamurocho, the story unfolds across two intersecting timelines—1995 and 2005. In 1995, four friends eager to escape their restrictive lives in an orphanage dive into the yakuza-controlled underworld of 1995 Kamurocho. Meanwhile, in 2005, their friendship is deteriorated, as tensions between the Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance are at a boiling point.
DEPARTURE RETURN
In 1995, eager to escape their restrictive lives, Kiryu and his friends plan a heist at a local arcade. However, the arcade is under the control of the Doujima Family, a powerful yakuza organization that rules Kamurocho. Meanwhile, in 2005, with Kiryu set to be released from prison, he learns from Detective Date that his friends are in danger and he decides to return to Kamurocho to protect them.

In 2005, Kiryu and Yumi continue their search for Aiko in Osaka and encounter Chairman Goda of the Omi Alliance. In 1995, Nishiki finds himself at the mercy of Dojima's scheme, after his sister, Miho falls ill.

Kiryu trains for a high-stakes title fight that will determine him as the Dragon of Dojima. Meanwhile, Nishiki struggles to find money for Miho's surgery.
Episode 6
Kiryu tries to prevent a war between the Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance. The true identity of the Shinjuku Devil is revealed.
